DWAYNE JOHNSON - TIME 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE & THE MOST FOLLOWED AMERICAN MAN ON INSTAGRAM

In 2019, Time Magazine named their TIME 100 Most Influential people in the world and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson not only covered Time but was the one and only Polynesian to have made the list.  

This year (2020) he's amassed more than 200 million followers on Instagram making him the #1 most followed man in America and the #1 most followed American man in the world! 

In his Instagram post celebrating this milestone he wrote “Always speak your truth, and do your best to speak your truth with compassion, with a little bit of poise, with a little bit of dignity, with respect and with empathy. Even when speaking your truth means you’re going to dive into some conversations that might make people a little uncomfortable”

He was obviously referring to his recent decision to endorse Joe Biden as president, the first time he has declared for a candidate.

Here’s what I’ve learned these past few weeks and maybe, you can find value in this take away and apply it to your own life. Always speak your truth. And when you do speak your truth - do your best to speak with dignity, compassion, respect, poise and empathy. Even when the conversations get uncomfortable - when you approach with respect and care - on the other side of discomfort - is clarity and progress. Last year in his interview with Time he spoke on confidence saying it was 'a funny thing'

"I wasn't always confident as a kid, I was this brown little boy with a big affro, we lived in a different state and different city nearly every 10 - 12 months.  I was always constantly trying to fit in and trying to figure out where my place was.  It wasn't until a got a little older in life where it always came with just being comfortable with who I was" - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson 

His Fast and Furious Co-Star Gal Gadot wrote "Dwayne Johnson is the true embodiment of the idea that people may forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”
