KEEPIN’ IT COCO
Talofa Lava, Malo E Lelei, Kia Orana, Fakalofalahi Atu, Bula Vinaka and WASSUP YO! Welcome to The Coconet TV, the new online hub featuring all things Cocolicious, Coco-Fresh & Coco-Nasty!
For the past 4 months, we have been filming our epic ‘How to’ webisodes across the pacific. As a kiwi-born Hamo livin’ it up in New Zealand, you sometimes lose a bit of your heritage. You go to Island occasions looking a bit durrr and not appreciating the importance of the customary activities being practiced.
This web/online/poly portal (ups to you how you call it) gives us the opportunity to learn hips and hips like how to make Takihi, do a Siva, lay an umu, drink kava and so much more. It’s cool cause we’re not only putting the stories we gather out there, but we want you to put up your top Island tips as well.
(Not that you’ll see me make an umu anytime soon, but definitely know how to lay it down next time the pastor comes over for tonai!)
There is something for everybody on this site so go hard and check out everything. One of my favourite pages on the site is ‘Poly Passports’ because this is your chance to upload your videos from where you are in the world. Hit us up with a Poly Postcard.
I was lucky enough to have my own Poly Passport experience and bring you some Travel Tips in Samoa, which was an amazing experience and got so much love. I had to show you Coconets some ‘tourist attractions’ and let’s be straight, living on the edge ain’t my thang but just for you guys, I did some pretty buzzy stuff that was outta my comfort zone. I hardly go to Samoa, so I was on that YOLO buzz and turned out to be a very memorable trip!!
The Coconet TV is about learning and also sharing your experiences with THE WORLD! So make sure to share the coco lovin’, don’t be afraid to touch (lol) and KEEP IT COCO ;)
