Tupu Tai Pasifika Public Sector Summer internship programme
Tupu Tai Summer Internship programme are looking for proud Pasifika students and recent graduates who are passionate about seeing change for their families and wider communities.
Tupu Tai is an 11-week paid internship across the summer break. Through Tupu Tai you will have the opportunity to work on policy projects in one of the many government agencies that affect change in areas such as education, housing, employment, justice and the environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will:
* Contribute to the growing tide of Pasifika representation in the public sector
* Develop your leadership skills and professional resume
* Build professional networks with other interns, government agencies and community leaders

Tupu Tai places high value on the entire wellbeing of each intern, providing wrap around support heading into, during and post internship.
This includes:
* Skill development workshops that increase an interns employability
* Mentoring from a senior Pasifika staff member
* Inclusive Leadership training and Cultural supervision provided to your managers so they are more culturally aware and competent.
* Opportunities to build long lasting professional networks
* Mana Moana retreats to build confidence and resilience of the Pasifika identity
The Tupu Tai team are looking for someone who fits the following criteria:
* is an undergraduate or postgraduate student or an alumni of up to two years
* has completed at least one year's equivalent of full-time study (two semesters)
* has a minimum B grade average
* are of Pacific descent and allowed to work and live in New Zealand

* How you would like to contribute to the improved wellness of our Pasifika community.
NB: Tupu Tai alumni can re-apply up to two years after their graduation from university.
Pease make sure you're available to complete the internship full-time from 15 November 2021 to 28 January 2022
