Three Wise Cousins - Review
Fans of the Sione's Wedding films will lap up this colourful and charming Kiwi-Samoan comedy.
It's the story of Adam (Neil Amituanai), a bit of a feckless slob, who, when he isn't on his Playstation, is asking his long-suffering Mum, "what's for dinner?"
However, his life is turned upside down when he admires a "beautiful" law student, who shares the same bus stop as him. Unable to muster up the courage to speak with her, he hits upon a plan when he overhears that she'd like a real "Island guy". Hopping on the first plane to Apia, he enlists the support of his two cousins – the muscle-bound Mose (Vito Vito) and the more "sensitive" Tavita (Vesui Villiamu). But as well as teaching him how to climb trees, crack open coconuts and weave baskets, they also offer up some more pertinent life-skills and advice.
Vito Vito plays Mose, Neil Amituanai is Adam and Vesui Villiamu essays Tavita in the new Kiwi-Samoan production Three Wise Cousins.…more

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson - The Worlds #1 Box Office Star for 2015
Coco-Congrats go to the one and only Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson taking back the #1 title of International Box Office Star of 2015.
He's the only Pacific Islander to ever make the Box Office Star list, first receiving the number one spot in 2013. The persistence of the 'Furious' franchise and the strong success of his leading role in sci-fi disaster flick 'San Andreas' have put him back at the top again.
Johnson posted this to his FB to express how he was feeling:
Sol3 Mio star weds sweetheart
Pene Jnr Pati - one quarter of the accalaimed Opera-trio Sol3 Mio, tied the knot in front of friends and family at the Villa Maria Estate in Auckland on Friday afternoon.

Pene married fellow Opera singer Amina Edris in the same setting where he had proposed to her just over a year ago.
With close family and friends in attendance, the ceremony and celebration was a family affair with all four of the Pati siblings involved in the ceremony.
Amina looked picture perfect in her one-of-a-kind wedding dress, with her bridesmaids in gorgeous pale blush-pink dresses.
The groomsmen, including fellow Sol3 Mio boys Moses McKay and brother Amitai Pati (the best man) looked elegant in their matching grey suits.…more
FIJI: Just another Island boy living in America
He's one of the pioneers of the island reggae sound and continues to represent the Polynesian culture and music scene to this day. Fiji's voice is soulful and moving. Coupled with the fluid sound from the islands of the Pacific and the strong cultural roots and history, his music refuses to be categorized and boxed up. It's reggae, R&B, hip hop...it's island music.
You can close your eyes, listen to Fiji, and be taken anywhere you choose. It's spiritual. It's grimy. It's about love. It's about community. It's about culture. It's about truth.
All of it comes from "just another island boy living in America."

On who Fiji is:
I've had a pretty humble beginning. I was born in Fiji. Where I was born was regarded as a ghetto in a garrison. Even though we were in a very poor area, it was full of athletes, musicians, and artists. As I was growing up, I had a lot of musicians to look up to. A lot of them were my uncles.…more
Three Wise Cousins Premiere
Check out some of the highlights from the world premiere of Three Wise Cousins!
The much anticipated release of self-funded samoan movie Three Wise Cousins premiered last night in Auckland at the Civic Centre to rave reviews, and more than a few belly laughs.
Producer and Director S.Q.S says that he is most proud that they stayed true to who they were, and both laughed and cried - in the dark.
"So many people cracked up laughing, so obviously the humor worked," says composer Andrew Faleatua.
While the general release date hasn't been set yet, S.Q.S assures that it'll reach cinemas across New Zealand and hopefully overseas.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson welcomes baby girl!
Christmas has come early for action man Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with his girlfriend giving birth to a baby girl.
The newborn is the Fast & Furious star's first child with his longtime partner, Lauren Hashian. Johnson has a 14-year-old daughter with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
Johnson, 43, was emotional as he witnessed the birth, according to E! News, and both mother and baby are said to be doing well.
Just days prior to the birth, Hashian opened up about impending motherhood in a sweet post on Instagram.
"So grateful and in awe of this time," she wrote.
"To experience creating a little life is just incredible. This beautiful cycle of life and womanhood beginning again. And like Big Daddy says - Couldn't be prouder of all the kickass women she's going to have around her! And Men of course...
"Let's just hope big daddy doesn't equal 20 pound baby!" she playfully added.
According to Radaronline, the happy parents have named their little girl Jasmine.
