"THE DRESS"
How did Parris get in touch with you?
Parris' sister Kendall happens to be best friends with my first cousin Vaivasa Fatialofa who recommended E'vana Couture.
What was the inspiration behind the dress?
When Parris sent me pictures of what she imagined her dress to be like. I definitely knew where she was heading,The dress is a Hawaiian Inspired Design, we used to wear them for our Hawaiian Dance Items when we used to dance back in the day, with the long mermaid tail. Her inspiration was to go Traditional Polynesian with a 'POPPIN' colour and a Tatau print to represent her Samoan Heritage.
There is a customised 4 leaf design underneath the front part of the ruffle, Parris suggested she likes holes in her dress so the 4 leaf flower was specially made for Parris.
How's it feel for Parris to represent your design on a global platform like the MTV Awards?
I am truly honoured and I feel very blessed, it's an unbelievable feeling and a dream come true, I am very lucky to have had this opportunity and greatful for the meetings to make this happen (Kendall and Vasa) MTV VMAS is a huge event and Parris was absolute fire...she nailed it. And happy to have assisted her with my most favourite White thick teeth "Ula Nifo". Literally goin off #loveeee #todayiamthankful
