Rugby League World Cup - Pasifika teams Quarter Finals Highlights

Four of our Pasifika teams made the Quarter finals in this Rugby League World Cup - Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga.

In case you missed the games you can check out the higlights from all 3 test matches here starting with the intense battle between Toa Samoa and Mate Ma'a Tonga in the video above.

Samoa finished on top holding on after a Tongan assault in the last ten minutes to take the win and make history as the first Samoan rugby league team to make the Rugby World Cup semi finals.

Man of the Match honours went to Anthony Milford.

Fiji Bati vs NZ Kiwis

The Bati boys came out firing and were very unlucky to have come short in their semi finals bid.

A questionable strip call by the video ref gave NZ a penalty kick & swung the momentum in the kiwis favour at the end while Fiji struggled to capitalise on a couple of opportunities in the last 10 mins.

Fiji's young fullback (only 20yrs old) Sunia Turuva will be one to watch in the future at the Penrith Panthers. Plus Special mention to captain Kevin Naiqama who scored twice for Fiji and has said this will be his last Rugby League World Cup.

Papua New Guinea Kumuls vs England

The PNG boys got off to a slow start which ultimately cost them against England going down to the host team 46-6.
