JERRY TUWAI - FOR THE MOMENT
Fiji Rugby Sevens captain Jerry Tuwai made history at the Tokyo Olympics with their win against New Zealand, becoming the first Pacific Islander representing a Pacific Island nation to win TWO Gold medals ever.
Filmmaker Ed Barnes spent some time with Jerry in early 2020 to learn what motivates him to be the current no.1 Rugby 7's player in the world.
He said this of the experience: "People use the word 'Humble' all to easy these days, but for me this truly was a humbling experience. To see how such a phenomenal athlete lives in a country where people don't have to have a lot to be happy was amazing.
Hopefully some of Jerry's story is reflected in this short film along with the feeling of the island."
