Taylor-Rose Terekia | Young, Gifted & Brown

Taylor is an Otago University Graduate. She did a Bachelor of Arts focussing on Indigenous Development with a minor in film and media studies. She now works for Taki Rua - which is one of Aotearoa's oldest and biggest Māori theatre companies.

The young academic and storyteller discusses the importance of her heritage, how to best support Maori artists, and much more. She takes us through practice for her Te Reo Maori show and explores the importance of the intersection of art & indigenous culture.

"Young, Gifted & Brown" follows talented and passionate Nesians from different walks of life on a mission to leave their mark on the world. The series will profile different gifted young brown people from Directors to family lifeguards.
