Te Maeva Nui 2016 Highlights Pt 1

Monday night highlights from Te Maeva Nui 2016 in Rarotonga.

Te Atamira o te Ui Ariki Ngateitei is the theme this year which honours the thrones of Cook Island Royalty, the traditional Paramounts of the Cook Islands.  Te Maeva Nui 2016 honours all their Arikis from Past, Present & Future.

The 8 best dance teams took to the stage last night (Monday night in the Cook Islands) to compete in various categories - Pe'e (chant), Ute (Song), Kapa Rima (action song/dance) and Ura Pa'u (drum dance)
