Teine O Le Kalama Alumni Group Celebrating 50 Years at ASB Polyfest
Auckland Girls’ Grammar School Samoan Alumni Group – Teine o le Kalama – returned to the stage for ASB Polyfest’s 50th anniversary.
With 82 performers ranging from current students to grandmothers, this intergenerational group came together after months of rehearsals – both in person and online – to celebrate their school’s legacy and the enduring spirit of Polyfest. Some flew in from Australia and Hawaii just for this moment.
The 10-minute pese, composed by Reverend Ionatana Pouli-Lefale, pays tribute to the history and impact of the AGGS Samoan group over the decades. Led by alumni Mandy Momoisea, Natarlia Pouli-Lefale, and Easter Asaua, the group delivered a performance filled with pride, precision, and deep cultural connection.
