Samoan Lady in Amman

Assalaam Alaikum - Peace be upon you - Talofa Lava, I am an Australian/Samoan living in the heart of Amman, Jordan. I may be the only poly or Samoan living here at the moment. One popular question the Arabs like to ask foreigners is "ماذا أصلك ؟ " What is your origin/ethnicity?" When I answer with Samoan, I also have to go into lengths of explaining the geographic location: Samoa is an island located in the South Pacific Ocean, near Fiji and Tonga, and is South of Hawaii. Every single time. Almost everyone who's asked has never heard of it. However, there was this one time when I was asked by a police officer the popular question, and I told him Samoa... his response was "Ahhh, Samoa!" I was amazed and asked him if he knew where Samoa is. "Of course! I know a couple of guys from there. But one question, why are the Samoan people so big??" LOL ;)
