Angitū Whakawātea • Tāmaki Haka Ngahau 2022 (Adele 'Easy on me' te reo cover)

Kapa haka group Angitu performed this incredible cover of Adele's latest hit 'Easy on Me' in Te Reo Maori.

The group performed the powerful cover as their Whakawatea during Tāmaki Herenga Waka, Herenga Tangata Hakangahau 2022 and featured a beautiful solo by Awatea Wihongi.

The performance has gone viral since making an appearance on social media.

It was the first live kapa haka event since February 2019 and Tāmaki Herenga Waka, Herenga Tāngata HAKAngahau presented their top teams to perform at Spark Arena. In the group of nine teams were the five Kapa Haka teams that will represent Tāmaki at Te Matatini 2023.
