AVIA BROTHERS - FA'AMAGALO MA FA'AGALO
The Avia Brothers lead single 'Fa'amagalo ma Fa'agalo' off their debut album of the same name has already had over 1.4 million views on Youtube since it's release in December last year and the follow up single 'Le Nu'u fa'atali' has also racked up over a million views!
Brothers Foma'i and Dominic who are based between Sydney, Melbourne and Samoa respectively are enjoying their album success and learning a lot along the way.
"It really is a blessing to know that people of all ages love our music,” says Foma’i.
“From kids to youths and elderly parents. We get so surprised when people know all the words to our songs.”
The duo enjoy performing and making music but say it’s been a challenging road up until now.
Before launching their debut album in December last year, the brothers received the devastating news that their beloved father had passed away.
“It was very hard. We nearly gave up but we pushed ourselves to carry on knowing it’s what Dad would have wanted. Our parents especially my Dad had inspired us to nurture our talents. So when he passed I felt we had to step up in terms of writing and composition” said Foma'i.
Foma’i called on their talented uncle and well known musician Aniseto Falemoe to help them out.
“We brainstormed a lot to come up with the lyrics. I did most of the songwriting. We all helped out with rap lyrics and our friends Sefa, Bad Enough and SJ Demarco feature with their parts.
“We spent a lot of time making beats too as most of our songs are originals.”
Catch the brothers performing tomorrow night in Otara at Paradise Night Club. Deets in the poster below.
