Kirrah Amosa - Possessive
Kirrah Amosa is a performing artist based in Canberra, Australia and is a proud Samoan woman who represents her culture to the fullest whether it be in her music videos or her online social media content.
She was one of the talented Pasifika cast members of the Australian company of the Broadway winning play, Hamilton, during its debut season in Sydney last year.
She has toured as a support artist for the likes of Rita Ora, Adam Lambert, James Arthur & Jess Glynne as well as being invited back to the Ministry of Sound Orchestrated Australian Tour.
Kirrah not only sings, acts, and dances – she writes her own songs, produces her music and plays a few instruments.
Of her most recent track 'Possessive' above, she writes:
"I spent all my past relationships trying to prove to my partner (and the world) that I was the “cool girlfriend”; that “easy-going, super go with the flow, rarely upset, never raised my voice, loved when he had close friends that were female” kinda gal that a man would brag to his friends about. 2021 was the year I realised I’m not that gal. Moving forward I vowed to be extremely forthcoming with my potential partner about one thing; I don’t like to share my sh*t.
Accepting this darker side of me was the most freeing feeling so if you’re anything like me, I offer you this; instead of entering the always-vicious screening cycle with a new potential partner, feel free to play them Possessive. They’ll get a clear idea of what to expect and if they get surprised by your protective fire or emotion-filled mood swings, that’s on them."
