RUNNIN - David Dallas

Samoan rapper David Dallas' 2013 platinum-selling hit single "Runnin" off his 3rd studio album 'Falling into Place'.

The video was shot and directed by Tom Gould in and around Mitimiti, a small settlement in the Hokianga with the scenes that Dallas featured in, filmed in the nearby historic St Gabriel's church in Pawarenga.

The song features on the FIFA 14 video game soundtrack.  

Dan Hooker has used the song as his main UFC walkout track and Team NZ who won the America's Cup in 2017, said the song had become an anthem for the team while they were training and had used it for motivation.

9 years since it's first release, 'Runnin' has been given new life, featuring in Adam Sandler's latest movie "Hustle" which was co-produced by Lebron James and features a number of NBA players.

The movie which was shot in Philadelphia features a number of Philly hip hop artists' music including 'Runnin' which samples Philly DJ King Britt's 2005 classic 'New World in my View' which also sampled late New Orleans street preacher and visual artist Sister Gertrude Morgan.
